Sarang Walet Waterfall is a hidden gem located in Tetebatu Village, East Lombok. It is famous for its unique setting inside a narrow stone canyon, giving it an "underground" or mystical cave-like atmosphere
Access and visitor tips:
- Unique Feature: The waterfall is tucked away behind high rocky walls. To reach it, you walk through a shallow stream inside a narrow gorge
- The Experience: The water is crystal clear and very refreshing. Because it's enclosed, the sound of the water echoing against the cliffs creates a very serene vibe .
- Location:Tetebatu Village, Sikur District, East Lombok
- Trek Difficulty: Very easy. It’s a short 5–10 minute walk through rice fields and down some stairs, followed by a brief walk in ankle-to-knee-deep water
- Best Time to Visit: Morning (08:00 AM – 12:00 AM) to catch the sunlight filtering through the canyon cracks and to avoid crowds
- Footwear: Wear water shoes or trekking sandals, as you will be walking directly in the river bed to reach the fall [
- Dry Bag: Bring a waterproof bag for your phone or camera, as the mist inside the canyon can get everything damp
